worried ibook

gday i often leave my ibook open so i can download throughout the night..is it safe ??? i normal turn my screen britness down to zero and just leave the lid open all the way...

Is there a better way?
AND should i not be leaving it open

Oh, I think that you'll definitely be fine. As for the screen brightness being set at zero, I do the same thing. This probably doesn't matter, but just make sure just set your iBook in a spot, where it will not heat up to much.

I left my PowerBook on all night to rip a DVD. In fact I haven't shut it down in weeks (just closing the lid to put it to sleep overnight) and I've experienced no problems.

Same here. I've turned down the brightness and let downloads go all night. My iBook is usually asleep too, I hardly ever shut it down.

same here .. its opened 24 h downloading torrents ..! no lights on it !! so that it wont heat up .. and if am done with it !! close it and it will go to sleep .. no worries ur fine ..!
