Word on Mac OS X 10.4.11

I recently cleaned out my iMac (2006) and started over with OS X 10.4.11. I can't seem to find my Microsoft Office CD. Is there a free version out there for my old 2006?

Microsoft has never released old versions of Office for free. It's also going to be difficult to find old copies that work with Tiger. 2008 will work but you might have a difficult time finding a cheap copy.

Is there something comparable to Microsoft Word (cheaper)?

LibreOffice is free but you'll have to find an older version that works with OS X 10.4.11 (the current version works with >= 10.6).
