Alright, time to get down to business!! I have partitioned my HD into several sections, and i was wondering how i could format one of those partitions to an HFS+ format. I tried the GUI DiskUtil, but all of the format options are all grayed out. There has got to be some of that wonderful command line code that i could drop into a terminal and get this taken care of!! I'm new o os x, but am comfortable with the terminal in Ubuntu Linux. the permissions thing just isn't working out on the ext3 (mounted as an ext2 partition using that special driver Ext2_fs), The drive has no limits permission-wise in linux, but it still mounts as read-only, and i have to be able to write on it as well. Any hints would be of great value!!
Thanks everyone!
