Can anybody help me?
When I shut down my ibook it doesn't shut off it restarts.

Its reseting the primary RAM for your system, the kind that runs say the clock and other base functions. Just restart and hold Command+Option(Alt)+'P'+'R' until you hear the starting chime 3 times then release. :)

After the start up chime when turning on ur computer, hold down OPTION+APPLE+R+P and wait till you hear a second chime. Then your PRAM is reset.
