I was using a wireless connection for my iMac @ home but it wasn't quite fast enough for me; subsequently, I reverted back to a 'hard-wired' connection for my mac.

My question is this:
When I view my network settings it shows that I am connected via Built-In ethernet and that airport is also connected to my Linksys network- will this affect my connection/speed if I leave it like this or should I 'disable/disconnect' Airport??

Thanks in advance!

Under Network Port Configuration, which ever is the highest. ie. if airport is above the Built-in Ethernet then your mac will use that one by default. All you have to do is click and hold which ever one you want and drag it up or down. The highest one is the one that will be used by default. You do not have to disable the airport but if your not using it then why keep it on?
