I'm new to APPLE. Just bought a MacBook Pro 17" and I'm glad I switched.

Anyway, I can't seem to get wireless printing to work. Here is my equipment list; Linksys router, Linksys print server, HP2500C printer, MacBook Pro 17".

So far the printer set up utility "shows" the wireless port. I added the HP2500 GIMP driver. When I go and send a print job, it prints "garbage".

Thanks for the help.

Hope this helps.

I'm not familiar with that particular print server, but Linksys has a wired print server that I've been using for a long time and found that it is very picky about the type of connection you make from it.

I used LPR to connect to it, entered the IP address and then entered lp as the queue name (that's lowercase L and lowercase P). You should then need to manually choose the GIMP-PRINT / CUPS driver and you should be good to go. Again, I'm not familiar with that specific device, but if it's similar to the wired version, that should do the trick.
