Hello!

So just recently purchased a wireless card for my 2007 MacPro tower. I ordered the...Apple MB363Z/A Airport Extreme Wireless Upgrade Kit. When I received the card it looked very different from the photo and had a different model #. What I received was...Model #ARSBXB6 With a little research it turns out to be a Macbook Pro PCI-E Airport Extreme Card (and it didn't come with the screws, arrgh).

I wrote the seller and the response was that it was the same thing and would work in the MacPro, and a bunch of mumbo jumbo about different factories it could have been made in...is this true?

I opened up my MacPro last night and gave it a go. It fit into the slots, but I could not get the #2 #3 antenna to attach. When pushing them down, they would just pop right off. After an hour of trying, I gave up. Is there a trick to this? Do they need to be facing a certain direction? Or is this card not meant to be installed into this computer?

Thanks!

Send the card back to the seller and get a refund. That's not going to work in your Mac Pro. As you pointed out, the model numbers are different and the antenna connectors are not the same. You need the original.
