My brother left my sister a 13" Unibody MacBook Pro 2.0GHz before he left the country. I have a 15" MacBook Pro 2.66GHz. The problem is that my brother left a password on the 13" Unibody MacBook Pro 2.0GHz and none of his usual passwords work. He still has the box, cords, and manual but no CDs. The CDs from my 15" MacBook Pro 2.66GHz don't work on my brothers computer to install a fresh copy of OSX, we also can't seem to get a hold of my brother to ask him. My sister needs to use the laptop before she leaves for the peace corps soon. Could somebody please help me? Any suggestions are welcome, any solution that doesn't cost too much or is free would be great. Thanks!

The problem is the password, right? Otherwise you wouldn't feel any compulsion to reinstall the OS, correct?

If that's the case, you should be able to at least boot the machine from your restore discs. Then, follow these instructions to reset the original administrator password (see about 1/2 way down the page):

Mac OS X: Changing or resetting an account password
