winPod on G5 HELP!?

I got my G5 yesterday and transferred all my music from my laptop to my Mac, and now I'm trying to format my Windows iPod to make it a Mac iPod. I tried using the iPod Updater program but it freezes up on me, and never began to format the iPod.

Any suggestions?

there is no need to format it to a Mac. Macs can read both windows and mac formatted iPods so you can use it right away

OK good. Boy do I feel like a newbie. So there's no benefit at all to using the HSF file system with an iPod and a Mac?

Nope its actually better to be using it formatted for windows so you can plug into PCs as well

With mac format if you want to listen to your iPod through a PC you can't because it can't read it
