I have a 10.6.8 and the operating system hasn't been updated forever. I want to update it to Yosemite. However, I am afraid I may lose access to Rosetta Stone if I do so. I do not have original proof that I purchased the software. Will updating on OS potentially ruin my chances of ever using Rosetta Stone again on my Mac? Thank you!

You shouldn't be asking that question of us. You need to ask that of the Rosetta Stone support folks as they will know if your version is compatible with Yosemite.
