Depends on exactly what model Mac Pro you are thinking of. There's the older style Mac Pro that has the traditional large computer tower shape (last model discontinued 2013)...and then there's the new design Mac Pro that's much smaller & a cylinder shape (released 2013). The older style Mac Pro many folks still use...and they can still be very powerful (would probably be fine for you)...and would have no issues running that 34" LG monitor. As far as refurbished. The only Apple computer refurbished I trust is Apple. Apple has a very stringent refurbishing process...and all Apple refurbished computers come with a 12 month warranty...just like a brand new computer. If you buy it from somewhere else...you're simply getting a used computer (which may or may not have been throughly tested). Which is fine...just got to be aware of what you're getting.:) Apple no longer sells refurbished older design Mac Pro's. Apple does sell refurbished new design Mac Pro's. Currently the refurbished new design Mac Pro models start at $2119: https://www.apple.com/shop/browse/home/specialdeals/mac/mac_pro Availability can change quickly. So what's offered in the link can change. HTH, - Nick
