I've googled fruitlessly for a good hour on this, so decided I'd just post and see if anyone out there knows the answer.

I want to purchase a BBC show, The Mighty Boosh (hilarious, youtube search if you've never seen it), on DVD but they are only sold in Europe's format.

Will the superdrive in my macbook play it? Or is it designed to read US format only (purchased in the US).

Thanks in advance for any help!

Well.. if it doesn't play in the superdrive you could probably at least copy the dvd with something like mactheripper or handbrake

it will play it, but it is the region that will mess you up. Only a limited number of region changes are permitted. best to rip it into a region free disc ( or have a friend do it)

that is what I do on my 'only kept forthat reason' PC desktop using slysoft and nero.

Give this friend the details of your superdrive, brand and model, Rachael and he may be able to find a way to unlock it make region free.
