Will resetting to factory settings, bump phone to ios8?

I am currently on ios7, I want to reset my iphone to factory settings and wipe all my info. If I do so, will it automatically download ios8 and install it upon resetting it?

Yes it should. However, before doing that you might want to backup to your Mac first just in case.
