I'm a hard core mobile communications and computing specialist. I also consider myself very open minded & platform neutral. Why not be positive and give each of the manufacturers of hardware, and developers of the operating systems a fair & balanced evaluation. Working in the industry, I've enjoyed an opportunity to embrace each and every platform. They all have their pro's and con's and that's the good news... We have choices. In many cases as I see it, the differences are to be celebrated, otherwise the smartphone space would be too similar, dull, boring, and lack the fierce competition that brings us, as users, some terrific choices. Do I like the iPhone? Yes! And the BlackBerry I'm composing this post on? Yes! And the Droid I bought to try the Android OS? Yes! And the HTC Windows Mobile 6.5? Yes!
.
On to laptops. The age old battle PC vs Mac. I've used one of many Laptops I've owned as my Primary Mission Critical work computers for years. I've never owned a desktop as I'm too mobile. I travel constantly for work & pleasure. A laptop is the perfect computer for me. I use a ThinkPad for work. Have had for years with great reliability, speed and durability. Windows has been a great OS. And so has Linux, and Mac. Personally? I prefer Mac. I just bought a new MacBook Pro and could not be happier. That said I just bought a new ThinkPad for work and its also quite nice. Why bash the competition? Why have a narrow field of vision? Why not appreciate each for what they are. Then choose what _you_ prefer, learn it inside and out...and have fun!

Cheers...
