Hi 3 weeks ago I bought my first mac. It is the base model 2011 13 inch MacBook Pro. I have installed some apps from the Mac app store, installed firefox, and some widgets. I have also typed several documents, downloaded some things from the Internet, including two large power points which I later deleted. I was impressed with the speed of the computer for the first week and a half, then it got a slight bit slower(I expected this due to installs and new programs). About a week ago it suddenly became very slow. The evil spinning wheel shows up reguraly, it takes a while to open some programs, and it is very laggy. Sometimes when I mouse over the dock(with the magnification setting on) it glitches and freezes. It says I have 265.46 gb free out of 319.21 gb. Activity monitor shows that I have an average of 90% CPU free, and that there is no particular placation using a lot of memory. I don't know what is going on. How can I speed my Mac up again? Thanks so much! Is there any more info that I need to include to help?
