Hi folks. In the last two weeks, I've noticed that every time I start Firefox on my MBP, X11 starts up right along with it. Why would it do that? And how can I prevent it from doing that in the future? It's not a huge deal but it's a little annoying. Thanks for your response.

My only thought is if you have added any odd extensions or add-ons in the last 2 weeks

Thanks for the reply. I tested all my extensions/add ons in firefox and it seems there is indeed one that is activating X11 at startup. It's the Flashgot extension which works with Speed Download. This must be some bad programming because it only started happening recently when they updated their software to work with Firefox 3. Hopefully they will fix it in the next version. Thanks again, louishen.

Removed Speed Download when installed Leopard as yet another update at a price to the software! Made absolutely no difference to download speeds and both Firefox and Safari download managers work as well.
