I have a 13-inch white macbook from Early 2008

2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor
2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

I'm running Lion and am looking to upgrade my RAM, but I see different packages with different numbers of pins and other characteristics.

I'm looking to upgrade to 4 or possibly 8GB.

Can anyone tell me the exact specs for the correct RAM upgrades for my machine?

Any advice is much appreciated.

Your Mac's Specs
Late 2015 27" iMac, 3.3ghz, M395 gpu, 2tb Fusion, 8gb
Also, if you go to "About this Mac" from the Apple menu, you can get the exact model number.

Sometimes 2 models look exactly the same, but the model was bumped up. Motherboards are very specific with the memory type. At least Apple has limited their updates. Just try to figure out which HP or Dell you have...

Look no further then the bolded area. That tells you what kind of RAM you should be looking for. So-dimm DDR2 667 mhz. Your machine unofficially supports up to 6GB of RAM. That is the highest it will go.

TRy owc

Performance Upgrades; FireWire USB SATA Storage; Memory, more at OWC

WE are not affiliated with OWC as far as I know, but they are great as far as mac stuff goes

Officially the macbook supports 4 gig, but does in fact work fine with 6 gig, and OWC does a 6 gig kit

thank you.

so I'm looking at 4GB upgrade on crucial.com for $50 or a 6GB mismatched upgrade on OWC for almost $110. I think I'll just go with the 4 from crucial.

thanks for everybody's help.

Flip your iMac over, so it's lying down on the screen. You should see a little slot with three screw holes in it, unscrew each of them and take the panel off.

There will be a couple of little black tabs, take them 'out' (you won't be able to take them out fully because they are attached at one end). If you want to move your ram around, pull on these tabs and it will release the sticks that are already in there. Then just slot your new ram in. Don't push too hard, but hard enough so you hear a click.

If you go on to Youtube, I'm sure there are videos on there giving you a better description than the one I just have. :D Good luck!
