which one should i keep?

Ok folks i'm in a bit of a dilemma, which one should i keep? I have a iMac G4 700mhz, 40gb HD, 512mb Ram, cdrw, and so on. I'm currently using a Dell dimension 2400 desktop, it has 2591mhz it has total physical ram 256mb and total virtual memory of 2.00 gb. my question is which one is better ie faster. my dell seems a bit sluggish lately not sure what to do with this. any help would be greatly appreciated. also the other part of the problem is that my mom hasn't used a mac in her life, i told her it's easier than a pc.

throw the dell in the can and give your mom the mac... its so much prettier, easier to use, virus/spyware free, and you cant slow them down.. (clog the registry) which is probably one of many reasons why your dell is slow...... im using an old iMac 350 right now.. with 512 megs of ram and 40gig hardrive.. and it runs better than so many new pcs ive used at freinds houses and such .. our "family pc" just collects dust...

If you want to teach her and you have a lot of patience [or if she is super fast in picking things up] then go with the iMac...
