Which iPad Mini model changed from the original size?

I believe that there has been an increase in size from the original model.

Am I right in thinking that the iPad Mini 4 is the same size as the iPad Mini 1?

According to everymac.com, all 5 generations of the iPad mini all have a 7.9 inch diagonal display size.
