I just switched to Mac and I do not currently own an iPod but plan to get one in the next few weeks, most likely.
Currently I have most of my music in Windows Media format for use on my iRiver H120.
Since I still have a PC desktop and laptop to use with it I will most likely rip my CD's on a different machine for use with it but I want to start putting my songs on my PowerBook for eventual use on an iPod.
My question is, what format should I use, that will work with iPod, that will give me a good balance between quality and size. I'm not the kind of "audiophile" that just has to have things at insanely high bitrates or I can't enjoy the music.
So, what setting do I rip into iTunes with?
AAC AIFF Apple Lossless?
Which one?
