Yesterday I found myself in possession of a new iPhone XR. I have not used an iPhone for many years but they are generally so easy to use that I did not see an issue. One of the things I wanted to do was to add a specific mp3 file to use as the phone's ringtone since it is the same ringtone I used on my old Android phone and it is loud and distinctive enough to catch my attention.

I have iMazing on my Mac and used it to copy the ringtone to the Ringtones folder on the iPhone XR but it does not show up as a selectable ringtone in the settings. I know it is on the phone because I can see it in iMazing but I can not see a way to make the phone use it. What am I missing? What do I have to do to get the phone to use the mp3 file?

Thanks.

iOS use M4A for ringtones. Convert it to that, and copy it to your iPhone.
