I have a AEBS 4th gen and was trying to hook up two hard drives using a Belkin usb hub and knocked my brain for many hours before reading the posts about a powered usb hub. After reading the posts I grabbed a powered Dynex hub and hooked it all up and both hard drives popped right up and was using them within minutes!
