I found this folder in Finder at Macintosh HD/Users. It only contains two references to an old email address and I wondered what it was for.

The only reference I could find to Keeper is a password storage system for the iPhone and  Watch. There is a Keeper Vault system for Windows to store passwords. Are you using any of these products?

Thanks for getting back to me.

What Mac OS X/OS X/macOS?

Catalina.

Are you using any of these products?

Not to my knowledge. Certainly Keychain is in use and I use the password manager Enpass on my Mac, PC, iPhones and iPad but nothing else.

The folder was created in September 2016, I think, and none of the contents have been modified since February 2017.

All a bit of a mystery:Confused:

You might be right.

It looks as if I tried Keeper Password Manager about three years ago and these files were left behind. They are now binned!

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Is it possible you have (or had) an app installed called "MacKeeper"...or another app installed/previously installed called "Keeper"? If so...this could be it.

I checked in the App Store and I have definitely downloaded Keeper Password Manager in the past but not Mac Keeper so I'm pretty sure I have found the culprit.

Thanks.

Good deal Pine Man...great to hear it.

Maybe this app was installed a while back...then deleted...and some portions were left behind.
