I've seen it mentioned here before but I don't know what it is.

Reason I'm asking is it is on my computer I just recently got. Is it some kind of editing software? that is all I could surmise from opening it. So I'm not sure what to do with it.

thats great that it just happened to be there...

it is a pretty fine editing program made by apple....that saved you about a grand if it is the full copy...

the application name would be Final Cut Express instead of Final Cut Pro.

Express is $299, Pro is $1199(I Think)

also once you open a program you can click on the program name in the upper left hand corner of the screen, and then click on "about (program name)" this works for all programs to find out what version you have and info about it
