Notice the street address - I've always loved it:
1 Infinite Loop
Pretty neat!
That isn't what it says on that page, though:You know why they call it that right? It's because of this architectural structure that sits on Apple's campus.
The Infinite Loop
I never claimed this sculpture is officially called Infinite Loop, I never knew its name and that was the name I just gave it, because it's two blocks down from the Real Infinite Loop (Apple HQ). The actual name, as I've found out, is Perspectives, and it was made by Roger Berry.
This is just a few blocks away from Apple at the corner of Stevens Creek and De Anza.
As for any Apple connection, there isn't any. I just like to call this structure "infinite loop" because it's two blocks down from the Real Infinite Loop
Actually the address "1 Infinite Loop" refers to the way you write event driven software. The core of every GUI application is one infinite loop.. poll for input, process events, rinse and repeat. Back when they named it, there was probably one infinite loop for the whole OS too, though that's not so true anymore (multiple processors and all).
