Hi all, just a quick one.

I recently waved goodbye to my old G5 (dual 2ghz) and sold it on to a mate.

He is now having trouble using blank cd's and dvd's for it, and keeps asking me what ones he needs to use? I hadn't previously used it to burn anything for about 18 months and I vaguely remember some disc compatability issues......so can anyone tell me what discs do macs like???

cheers,

I honestly doubt you are going to have any compatibility problems. I have been using very cheap CDs most of the time without any problem. Don't worry about the brand.

i agree with mraya......but in case you are wondering, Sony has the highest quality CD/R discs. They even work with most (really) old CD players that dont support R/RW discs. not sure about DVD/R

I use Verbatim discs, never had a problem with them, and they are of excellent quality.
