Today I was watching something on CBS in HD using elgato EyeTV hybrid, and for some reason on the show I was watching, when the actors spoke, there was no sound. But here's the weird part: There WAS backround noise in the scene and you could easily hear the soundtrack! It was like a track was missing out of the signal or something. Can this even happen!? Just curious.

HDTV has a 5.1 channel sound signal broadcast with it. Sounds like (no pun intended) either your center channel was disabled (this is the channel that vocals usually come through on), or your provider was not broadcasting the center channel of audio at the time due to a technical glitch.
