If it accidentally fall in the swimming pool/or to something with water, what are the things should I do first?

Firstly, I am sincerely sorry this has befallen you.

You don't mention which iPhone you have and it makes a difference in that iPhone X and iPhone 11, for example are resistant to water - not entirely waterproof, but resistant. Earlier models are not.

After trying what was suggested by the last two replies, it might be a good idea to plan on purchasing another phone. Water damage sometimes takes a while to show up. By the way, your question starts off with "if", we are assuming that the phone did get submerged in water.

If a phone falls into water:

* get it out, fast
* wipe it off
* get SIM card and battery out asap
* pour raw rice into a bowl and submerge the phone, battery and card
* leave at least 24 hours before inserting battery and card, switching on and see if it works.

iPhones from the 7 onward are water resistant. The 7 is resistant for 30 minutes up to a depth of three feet, newer versions slightly better.

Hi Sue and for others to comment about the steps above: 1) Removing the battery ASAP - not an easy or quick task, e.g. for my iPhone XR, I would need a tiny pentalobe screwdriver, warming method, the thin plastic spreaders to remove the back (like in the iFixit kit shown below - I'll probably order one today!); and 2) Use of dry rice has been controversial - see statement below (Source) - googling brings up many 'For' & 'Against' discussions on this topic - for myself, I have a bag of small silicate desiccant packets in the basement (use w/ my small steel hand tools to prevent rust) - I'd prefer to emerge my iPhone in enough silica packs to surround the device. iPhone Black Screen

First, I thought it must be because of the battery drained. So, I charged it. But it is still showing Black screen. What should be the reason for this? Can anyone give me a solution to fix this please?

So a legitimate question to start this discussion is: has your iPhone been dropped in "the swimming pool/or to something with water"? (Direct quote from your last post).

Also, it would help a lot if you told us which iPhone you have and which iOS it runs, please.

With these questions answered, we will do our best to sort things for you.

Pardon me. I asked the question on learning purpose. I experience this is a usually common issue among all mobile users. I just asked it because it's good to known about the solutions already.
