Watching Live sports on the Mac

I am not entirely sure if this is possible but I know a few friends who have watched live sports games on their PC's and I wondered if it is possible to do the same on the Mac?

Reason I ask is I would like to watch the Arsenal vs Twente football match tonight which is on the following channels:

Al Jazeera Sport +1
Canal+ Sport 1
Nederland 3
Polsat Sport Extra
Setanta Ireland
Setanta Sports 1

None of which I have access to.

Sorry that this isn't quite timely, but I have a solution I use to watch/DVR live events on my Macbook Pro:

Pinnacle HD Stick Pro (model 800e)
Elgato eyeTV 3 (ver. 3.0.2)

The Pinnacle USB stick comes with a VERY nice OTA HD antenna, which picks up great, in spite of living in an apartment complex in suburban Phoenix, about 15-18 miles straight line from the downtown network broadcast stations. I get almost entirely hiccup-free HD broadcasts from every channel in town, and have never been disappointed.

Recording TV shows for personal use? Not unless it's all of a sudden gotten illegal to tape TV shows with a DVR, VCR, or set-top box...
