Watch TV on Ibook

Please help. I am looking for an adapter/connector/switch, whatever, that will allow me to watch tv on my Ibook, and record shows onto a cd. I want to play taped video from my camcorder on my ibook, and burn it onto a cd using my ibook cd recorder. There has to be something out there that would allow me to do this. PLEASE HELP!!!!! Also does anyone know a good external dvd burner I can use with my ibook?

I suggest you use like I have the cord that connects your digital cam to the VCR, play TV through the VCR > cam cord > USB on your iBook I'd love to know if it works though

the above site is good for a TV Tuner, but does not have audio input for the composite source.

To be honest, I haven't used a TV tuner on my iBook, but I would recommend instead getting yourself a analog -> dv convertor instead because I've had excellent results with DV on a Mac (plus you get to use iMovie, iDVD straight out of the box). A good digital camcorder will have this feature too.

This is a slightly more expensive solution though.

If you want to watch TV, you use the same thing, just with a VCR on the inputs.

Well, I decided to run my tivo outputs into my sony mini-dv, then into my ibook through firewire, then burn them onto a cd. Not the easiest solution, but now the wife can watch her favorite shows on her laptop while overseas with the army.
