Hi,

I am looking for a G3 imac to get my feet wet in the mac universe without taking a large loss if I don't prefer it. If anyone has one they are looking to sell, by all means contact me with specs/price.

Well I'll say this, from my experience once you go Mac -- you do not go back I have to maintain my moms xpee and I am so glad to have a Mac for myself! This past month has been off the scale with the wormapalooza. But then if you start with a G3 in OS X 10.3.x you may find it a tad slow. Having a G4 - I am extremely happy! :)

yes, to get started i would definately go for a G4 imac...all of the new software is starting to require G4s. I have a 450 MHz imac DVSE and It can't even handle panther without grinding to a halt. A newer iMac, even if its a year or two old, would be the best thing to start out with IMO. That way you can always back out without spending too much, OR you could also upgrade without having spent too much on a brand new one.

im selling my 4-yr old iMac. Its still in excellent condition, no cracks whatsover. Never had it repaired.
i just changed the battery last month.
its running OS 9.2., all orig. discs and keyboard, mouse. i'll ship it in its orig. box. if you're interested, i can also include an external cd-burner (i use toast 4 software)
but you have to add $50 and pay for shipping. i might even consider shipping it for free but that will depend on your proximity to where i live. i'll be glad to email you p
