While I still have a subscription I’m revisiting Airmail email client for iOS and iPad OS just to try out the changes in the new Airmail 5 for macOS.
I was frustrated to find the range of default web browsers was unchanged, the “big three” at the top plus iCab, Mercury and the inbuilt browser.
Then after installing Airmail on my iPad I opened a html link and low and behold it opened in Brave. Now maybe everybody else knew this but I found that if you choose Safari in Airmail on any device where the default system browser has been changed, to Brave in my case, selecting Safari in Airmail opens the default, in my case Brave.
So all my devices now have Safari chosen as Airmail web browser and they all open Brave where a html link is clicked in an email.
