Want to make another partition - How do I do this?

Hi,

I have a 160 gig harddrive and currently have 120 gig free.

I would much prefer2 x 80 gig partitions totally independent of each other.

Is it possible out of my 120 gig I could partition 80 gig from it without having to reformat my current set up and start from scratch?

Also if the above is possible will I get the option which partition to boot from each time I switch on?

are you planning to install another operating system on the second partition? You can try boot camp and it will partition without deleting your existing partition or you can boot using the install disks and goto disk utility to partition.
