Anyone running Firefox been to walmart.com lately?
I've tried it on 3 different computers and it locks up each one.
WARNING: if you try it and get stuck the only way to get out is force-quit and start up Firefox in safe mode (shift-start).
I don't think it's plug-ins because 2 Macs and 1 PC, all different.
Safari seems fine?

Ha ha. This is like saying…"Poking yourself in the eye with a sharp stick really hurts!"

You know someone out there is going to do it just to see if it's true!;)

Yeah, I know :)
I do mean the warning though...
It will lock up Firefox something terrible.

If I was running Firefox…I would probably be one of those "silly" people…and visit Walmart.com just to see what happens!;)

Of course the problem could be Walmart.com itself. But if it isn't…any chance it could be the the version of Firefox you are running (I'm guessing you are running the latest version)? Did you update Firefox recently? If so…maybe the problem is with Firefox.

Maybe you could mention the version of Firefox you are running. Just in case it makes a difference with other folks experiences with Walmart.com (good or bad experiences).

Just thinking out loud!:)

I just visited with Safari 6.1.6 (probably an old version). And everything was good to go.:)

I just visited with the new Chrome 64 bit version and it works fine. As a matter of fact I saw they have a pretty good deal on Microsoft Office 365 personal for the Mac = $69.00.

Now you can blame Craig for your wallet being $69 lighter!;)

Craig, I just tried it, and it doesn't freeze or do anything for me. I am scouting the Golfing Equipment in FF 35.0 and the Developer Browser as well 37.0a2 (2015-01-21).
Something is happening with you, but tried and tested here without issue.

Works fine with Firefox 35.0 on this side of the Atlantic!

Hmm...
Well it locks on mine, my wife's and one of the girl's PC at work.
Just tried Opera - works fine. Not going to install Chrome (shudder) just to check it.
Tried on Waterfox and it locks. Using version 35 on both.
Maybe it IS plug-ins. Got some experimenting to do I guess.

Found it! (at least on my computer...)
Plug-in called Disconnect.
Looks like I'm back to Ghostery instead.
Disabled it on mine and the wife's. Don't think the girl at work has it but will check tomorrow.
Thanks everyone!!

I dont do plug-ins, as I only use FF as a backup browser, and the Dev .v for testing, so its clean skinned, with no bookmarks or anything.
If anyone can root the problem, I'm sure you can Craig. Have all the browsers, you, wife and work girl got all the same plug-ins ?? That would be a good indication to start with.

Good luck mate.

EDIT : Well done :)

Odd...
Removed Disconnect and installed Ghostery. Still locks up. Don't know what the problem is.
Maybe Walmart is fighting back? :)
At first I thought it might be a clash with Disconnect/Ghostery and Cookie, which deletes trackers and cookies, but Karen doesn't use Cookie and it definitely doesn't run on Windows.
Think I'm going to just go with Cookie for now. See what happens.

FWIW I only have Ghostery, AdBlock Plus, FlashGot and Mozilla Archive Format on my Firefox ,which I also only use as a ‘spare’.

I just installed Ghostery on FF 35.0 and still Walmart didn't freeze for me Craig. I think something else is amiss for you and others. Just FYI :)
