Hey...I just downloaded ClamXav to scan for viruses so that I could show my Windows-user family "hey look, I've been using no virus protection for five months and...what's this...no viruses?"

But, if there is a virus scanning software...What is it scanning for? There aren't any OS X viruses...

i have heard the that it also scans for windows viruses, so this could be handy for if you recieve a file from a windows user, and the nyou may want to send it onto another user, you can check incase this is a virus,

not sure if that makes sense,

Like I said in another thread here at MF, I just ran it on my iMac G5 that has been going 24 a day on the net for months and months. Only thing it found was 2 Windows Virus's in 2 .EXE programs I had grabbed for a friend. Glad it did find them though so I would not possibly infect some poor Windows user.
