VIP in MacMail App

I inadvertently clicked on "VIP" in my Mail program and now my emails are all over the place and can't be moved or deleted. How do I correct this? Thank you very much for your help.

Go back to the same place (click on the arrow next to the senders name in an email) and this time select 'Remove from VIP
