I don't know if many people are familiar with the RAW format on cameras, but it's much different that JPEG. I was wondering if OSX will be able to show a preview with the thumbnail, or if i would need to bring it up in another program such as Aperture. I know on my PC i have now (i'll be upgrading to a Mac soon) it doesn't support the RAw format, i have to pull it up in another program, which is why i'm wondering.

I know for canon raw there is no need for third party software, my raw files (.CR2) open up in Preview.
