Video Play problem

I recently purchased OS X Lion.

I have just synced a few photos and videos from my IPhone.

When I selected the video I wanted to play, a still shot appeared in a window with the camera bottom left and video length bottom right but it did not open in
quick time player. I checked and I do have the QTP S/W app.

Not sure why the video didn't open in quick time?

It opens in iPhoto. I take videos of my Parrot all the time look there.

I Photo Video problem

I am in I Photo and can't get the video I selected to play.

The help desk says to double click on the video and it will open in Quick Time Player. I have done that and it doesn't play.

Mine does not either it plays in iPhoto but i guess you could export it where you want
and all double tap does is play the video in iPhoto.

I have noticed that when I select all events, then select a specific event... the only photo that shows is the one I double click on.
All the other photos in the event do not show??? I am wondering if I have an event problem and that is leading to the no video play problem? I went to event preferences and selected the option for double tap to show all photos, not enlarge and I still can't get all the photos in any one event to show.

I just checked mine if I double click the event all photos come up in that event. i am using iPhoto version 9.2.1
