I only have 1 G os space left on my iBook and was wondering how i could put video on my iPod but not have to save it on my laptop. I have an external HD but i can't figure out how to keep videos on my iPod without having to have them taking up space on my iBook. Please Help!

You can simply change the iPods prefs to manual sync and then just drag and drop the files onto the iPod in iTunes. You can keep the file on your external drive and move it to your iPod as well.

You could also just change the location of your iTunes Library to the external drive, this is done in iTunes Prefs.

We need to first know what kind of videos they are. Are they encoded for the iPod(to be viewed on the iPod) or are they just odd video clips? If they are encoded for the iPod then do what baggss said, just enable manual sync and remove them from your Mac iTunes library.

If not, just enable the iPod for disk use and store them in a folder on your iPod until you get a dedicated external drive.
