Video card drivers in bootcamp

Do you have to use Apple-sanctioned drivers in Windows? For example, could you download the latest ATI drivers and use them?

I'm planning on getting a Mac Pro eventually and use bootcamp+vista for the odd bout of gaming, but being able to use the latest updated video drivers is fairly important.

Technically, you COULD use the latest drivers when running Windows since ATI offers unified drivers. I don't see how you would be prevented from doing so.
