Hello, maybe this is not being asked in the right forum, but here goes. I'm new to Instagram and want to post images from my picture folders on my iMac's hd (called 2TB). I downloaded, I believe it's called an android emulator that supposedly works with Mac's and Instagram, called Blue Stacks. Within Blue Stacks I then downloaded the Instagram app and also the ES File Explorer app. Then, on my iMac desktop, I opened Instagram within Blue stacks, and attempted to find my 2TB and my picture folders using ES file explorer (within Instagram). But EX file explorer appears as if it's set up for windows. It doesn't show my directory as my finder would show it. It does show several folders to choose from, with names close to those in my finder, but none access to my large image library.

Maybe I have to add a path/directory info to tell it how to search?

All my data is on 2TB. ES File Explorer, as it appears in Instagram, in Blue Stacks, on my desktop, doesn't show it. It only show's root icons of my iphone, an sd card, and a micro sd card.

?

Thanks very much for your thoughts.

Thanks Ashwin. Excellent, except that BlueStacks in my version doesn't actually open my Documents folder, as pictured in the tutorial. I long click, double click, single click, etc, on that folder as it appears in the Local window, and all it does is put a check mark on the Documents folder. It doesn't actually reveal what's inside. Any ideas?

Thanks so much

Nick

Threads merged - Please do not start a new thread about the same topic.

Browse around the BlueStacks support site to see if you can find other relevant information to help you. I haven't used BlueStacks beyond just installing it to explore a couple of things, and I don't use an Android device, so I have no idea about the usual way of doing things within the Android space.

I've done a lot (a lot) of research Ashwin, and none has helped yet. Your answer, while I appreciate your interest in help, hasn't helped. This question has to do with imac, app, and ios so beyond the scope of this forum or apparently your knowledge. Thanks anyway.

Actually, BlueStacks it the process through which you run Android on a desktop computer, not iOS. You aren't the first person that has attempted to use Instagram through BlueStacks or other environment to upload a lot of pictures.

However, you might want to try another approach..uploading directly from your PC using a different app than Instagram itself.
