Just bought a new Hyundia that has the special cable to connect an Ipod to the stereo system. Have an Iphone - can connect using this cable but no audio. The special cable goes in the aux / usb slot, so can't connect another audio cable. Set up Bluetooth also. Is there any adapter that can "convert" an IPhone to an Ipod? Or am I missing something simple?

did you turn your car radio to the AUX setting when you had your iphone music playing?

sounds like it should be working... my dad's 2010 ram has an aux cord that came with it. as soon as you plug the other end into his iphone (3gs), the factory unit changes itself to aux and the music starts playing. in my car (1987 bmw), i have a pioneer head unit with a griffin roadtrip. i plug in my 3gs and the airplane mode message comes up. i press "no", and hit play on the ipod and everything is gravy. of course i have to set the head unit to auxiliary before hand. there has to be something small you're missing.
