I have a problem with the USB-ports shutting down when I connect a Huawei Mobile modem. My computer says that it shuts down the USB-connection because the modem uses to much power.
If I use a Y-connection using both USB's it works, but then everything is occupied.
I have send in the modem for repair, but they claim that it is fully functional.
What can cause this problem, and what do I do to fix it?
PS. other things like f.ex. my printer continues to work - it only affects the modem.
