Am currently using a hotspot from iPhone (via USB cable connection) to an MPB.
Is the connection to the MPB faster/more reliable via USB cable than via WIFI and Bluetooth?
I can connect the hotspot to an iPad (via WIFI and also via Bluetooth).
But can I also connect the iPhone hotspot to the iPad via a cable?
If so, which cable do I need?
Thanks in advance.

USB is generally more reliable then WiFi or BT since it's less prone to interference. From a speed perspective, WiFi N (or whatever is newest, assuming it's being used) is likely fastest, and then USB cable and then BT.

But it doesn't really matter here, use whatever is convenient. The advantage of using USB is that you can charge the phone while using it.

And no, you cannot connect an iPhone to an iPad. Both of those are USB slave devices while the MBP is a USB master device. And USB is a master-slave technology, it's not a peer-to-peer thing like BT or WiFi.

OK all noted with many thanks.
I rather suspected that it was not possible to connect the iPad via the iPhone ... now I know why.
