Usb 2?

Hullo all! I new, so be nice :p

I have a quick question regarding USB. I have the opportunity to buy an old iMac for a bargain price. This is really just to tide me over until I can afford a new machine. I have a shiny new Nikon scanner that is USB 2 but the iMac is only USB 1(.1). My question is, will the scanner work with the iMac? I don't mind if it will run slow as long as it works!

20" iMac C2D 2.16ghz, 13" MacBook 2.0ghz, 60gb iPod vid, 1gb nano
It should work without a problem but just double check on Nikons site

If it's Mac compatable it will. USB 2.0 is down...uh...word please...downgradable..i guess and it will serve as USB1.1
