17" G4 iMac dome, 1.25 ghz, OS 10.5.4. 5th Gen 80gb iPod Video
I've been having HD issues (does not meet the requirements...) when trying to install software updates. If I want to install a new internal HD, do I need to get an 80gb HD like it came with, or can I go larger, 100+gb etc.? Possible to go larger by booting off an external?

Thanks for the help!

If the new drive is for your iMac, you can go larger. If it is for a PowerMac, early models can handle up to 128GB, but some Quicksilvers (2002) on do not have this restriction. For your software update go to thew Apple web site and download Leopard OS X.5.8 Combo Updater:-
