Hi,

Hoping someone here can help.

Downloaded Lion from App Store
Started the installation today
After some time, got a message: 'Could not complete install due to hard drive error'

Restarted
Gray screen with flashing folder/question mark/prohibited circle
Performed safe boot (successful)
Restarted
Gray screen with flashing things again
Reset nvram/pram
Restart
Loaded ok but took very long time. Hd has about 35 gb less available than there was before lion install started
Restart again - blue screen
Shut down
Unplug for 10 mins
Turned on and Snow leopard loaded ok

Here's my question:
1) Why is Spotlight Re-indexing
2) Why is Time Machine backing up 10 more gb of data?
3) Why does my HD have 30GB less available space than it did before I started the (failed) Lion installation?
