How do I stop getting the built-in "Update" announcement every time I open my computer? I have token selecting the "Remind me tomorrow" choice.

What updates are you referring to? Are they macOS updates?

If you're referring to macOS updates, you can turn them off from System Preferences, Software Update, Advanced, remove the checks from the boxes. Also remove the check from "Automatically keep my Mac up to date".

Bearing in mind that updates (as opposed to upgrades) should be done unless you have a good reason not to. "Upgrades" on the other hand which are new operating systems are a choice, but refusing updates means lowered security and the risk of incompatibility over time.
