15" MacBook Pro (OS X Leopard 10.5.8), Intel Core 2 Duo (2.53Ghz), 4GB RAM, 7200RPM/250GB HDD
I have a blackberry 8900. I'v been trying to upgrade my BB to the official 5.0 release that came out not to long ago. I'v even went to Parallels/Windows XP and still no lock. I did it through apploader. When I press finish and the process starts its freezes are "connecting to ROM" or something close to that, then I get an error msg. Maybe its not working because I have to be on a full windows based? not parallels?

BB has a desktop manager for Mac now. Been out for about 6 months or so. Anyways, after you install it, open it and then USB connect your phone and update it that way. Easy as pie.
