unique visitor stat?

would it be possible to get some sort of unique visitor stat on the front page to go along with this display?

Currently Active Users: 235 (25 members and 210 guests)


is the forum able to track unique member visits over the last 24 or 72 hours? it would be nice to get an idea of the total actual member traffic.

I watch that stat on my two forums daily. Most hosts provide the AW stats in one form or another. It's very interesting information regarding a site's traffic patterns.

On the flip side I have never seen a site that publishes this information to it's members FWIW.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm not sure if those types of statistics will ever be made public. You have to consider competitive pressures and advertising rates are set on those stats, I'm sure it's of business interest not to reveal all to the public.
